Jinhua's tourism thrives during May Day holiday

The 98 A-level tourist attractions in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, welcomed 3.71 million visitors during the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, displaying a lively tourism scene.
Hengdian World Studios was full of activity, drawing both domestic and international tourists with immersive experiences. Visitors explored scenes from classic TV series, enjoyed lantern festivals and fireworks, and wore traditional clothes for a journey back in time.
Fotang town in Yiwu county-level city stood out during this year's holiday with its intangible cultural heritage event, offering a theatrical performance that brought historical figures to life.
Wuzhou Ancient Town featured intangible cultural heritage markets, Wuju opera performances, and Song Dynasty-style weddings during the holiday, receiving a record 385,000 visits.
The Shuanglong Scenic Area on Jinhua Mountain, recognized as a 5A-level attraction last year, was consistently busy during the holiday. New attractions like Lulu Park and camping sites on Jinhua Mountain provided fresh experiences for tourists.
As a representative of rural tourism, Youbu Ancient Town offered visitors new activities this year such as nostalgic weddings and roadside concerts, in addition to the well-known Youbu Morning Tea.
Additionally, the "Shopping Tour" initiative at Yiwu International Trade Market combined shopping with tourism, sparking a trend in cultural tourism and consumption.
