The Green Energy Committee of the General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs was officially established in Hangzhou on May 21.
The committee is designed to break industry silos by connecting upstream and downstream enterprises, financial institutions, and research bodies across the green energy value chain. Its mission is to accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies and enhance the global competitiveness of Zhejiang's green energy sector.
Lu Chuan, chairman of the new committee, outlined its strategic priorities. The committee will work on building three core platforms.
The first is a technology-sharing platform to deepen global cooperation among academia, industry, and application sectors, speeding up innovation in core technologies.
The second is an industrial collaboration platform to foster synergy among supply chain partners and build a cohesive green energy ecosystem.
The third is an international exchange platform to promote Chinese new energy technologies, standards, and business models worldwide.
Zhejiang has been a national frontrunner in clean energy, launching its clean energy pilot initiative as early as 2014. The province has been continuing to expand its leadership in wind, solar, energy storage, and hydrogen sectors.
