A Boeing 747 cargo aircraft carrying over 100 metric tons of goods departed from Ningbo Lishe International Airport on June 10, marking the official resumption of direct air freight services between Ningbo and New York. The flight is scheduled to arrive in the United States at 11:50 am Beijing Time on June 11.

Operated by Atlas Air, this newly reinstated route runs three times a week, facilitating the transportation of cross-border e-commerce goods and electronic products. Each flight can carry over 100 tons of cargo, significantly improving logistics efficiency between China and the US.

The resumption of this service strengthens Ningbo's global trade connectivity, optimizing international supply chains and supporting economic cooperation. According to the Ningbo Airport Border Inspection Station, the route was previously suspended due to cost-related factors.

"This shipment primarily consists of footwear, health supplements, and branded bags — key e-commerce products," explained Ms Ling, a logistics agent overseeing the operation. She emphasized that the restored cargo link provides a seamless channel for high-value goods.

With this renewed connection, each flight is expected to add hundreds of tons of freight capacity for Ningbo's cross-border exports, reinforcing the city's role as a vital hub in global trade and e-commerce.
