Lishui firm leads in exports of bamboo flooring
A factory owned and operated by manufacturer Zhejiang Jiahe Bamboo Technology Company — based in Suichang county, Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province — has been busy processing and shipping strand woven bamboo flooring to international markets, including Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Suichang county, with its vast 233-square-kilometer bamboo forests, renowned for their fine texture and strong fibers, became home to Jiahe in 2016, thanks to favorable policies.
The company has since leveraged these resources to develop advanced reconstituted bamboo products, which are now exported to nearly 100 countries and regions — capturing 70 percent of China's export market for such products.

Jiahe's strand woven bamboo flooring is known far and wide for its durability, boasting features like resistance to decay, mold, and fire.
Chairman He Pincai highlighted the company's competitive edge in production processes and design, which has allowed it to overcome the traditional weaknesses of bamboo products and expand into a wide range of applications.
Innovations such as the desugarization and carbonization of bamboo boards have enhanced product strength and weather resistance, while partnerships with universities and research institutes have driven automation and efficiency.
Collaborating with Dutch firm MOSO International since 2011, the Lishui company is expanding into high-end custom bamboo products, aiming to replace plastics globally.
As it explores new uses for bamboo by-products, Jiahe is committed to a sustainable, circular economy, bringing low-carbon bamboo solutions to the world.
