The 2025 China Tourism Commodities Competition announced its winners in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 13.

Among 3,215 entries nationwide, the "Zhu Bingren's Copper Art·Confucian and Go Cultural Tea Gift Set", submitted by the Quzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism, won the prestigious gold award. It was the only entry from Zhejiang to receive this honor.

This innovative tea set beautifully integrates Quzhou's Southern Confucianism and Go cultures. Go, also known as weiqi in Chinese, is a strategic board game for two players.

The copper teapot was crafted with traditional copper sculpting techniques, depicting the patterns of Go — symbolizing Quzhou's rich Go heritage. The copper tea tray uses layered color techniques to portray the cultural backdrop of Southern Confucianism, while the base and cups feature Quzhou's intangible cultural heritage — white porcelain firing techniques.

Organized by the China Tourism Association, the competition attracted creative talents nationwide. After three rigorous evaluations, 20 gold, 40 silver, and 80 bronze awards were presented.

"This accolade highlights the city's commitment to developing high-quality cultural and tourism products," said an official from the Quzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism.

Quzhou has implemented various strategies to foster innovation in traditional culture, enhancing the local cultural product market.
