Lishui to build Longquan sword industrial park
The blueprints for the China Longquan Sword Modern Industrial Park in Longquan — a county-level city in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province — have been finalized, with construction set to begin in June and to be completed in two years.
Spanning a total area of 217,000 square meters, the park will integrate four functional zones — for production, research and development, office spaces, and cultural tourism — providing a comprehensive platform for small and micro enterprises.

Key features of the park will include centralized intelligent manufacturing — bringing core processes like forging, polishing, and engraving under one roof. Standardized factories will aim to eliminate inefficiencies, while modern facilities will cater to flexible production needs.
The park will also support the incubation of intangible cultural heritage artisans through a collaboration between schools and enterprises, ensuring the preservation of traditional sword-making skills.
Additionally, the park will implement blockchain technology for product authentication, providing each sword with a "digital ID", and will adhere to international environmental standards.
Cultural tourism will be enhanced with interactive experiences like a virtual reality experience center and a Longquan sword culture corridor, offering visitors an immersive journey through the history of sword-making.
Upon completion, the park is poised to transition the Longquan sword industry from traditional craftsmanship to digital manufacturing — transforming Longquan swords into everyday products and expanding their global cultural influence.
