Expanded service to boost Zhejiang railway travel from July 1
A new CR200J-C Fuxing bullet train made its debut in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on June 18, marking its first passenger service since arriving in the city.
The train, which will soon appear on more routes across Zhejiang, features upgraded comfort and design to enhance the passenger experience.
The eight-car train has a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour and a total capacity of 676 passengers. The 8th car includes first-class and business-class seating, while the rest are equipped with second-class seats. A dining car is located in the 6th car.
Business-class seats are fully adjustable — from upright to flat — and come with wireless charging, fold-out tables, and personal storage areas. The train's rounded exterior design creates a more spacious cabin. First- and second-class seats can rotate, and all are equipped with accessible charging outlets.
Starting July 1, China's railway network will implement a new nationwide train schedule, with several updates affecting Zhejiang.
The Ningbo-Jinhua line will increase from two to four daily round trips, including new routes extending to Quzhou and Yiwu. The CR200J Fuxing train will be introduced on this expanded line.
To support early-morning commuters, Train G7658 will run from Ningbo to Shanghai Hongqiao, departing at 5:40 am and reaching Shanghai by 7:46 am, with stops in Shaoxing and Hangzhoudong.
