The Yu Lun Chang complex has been selected as one of the Ministry of Commerce's first 10 national models for innovative and diversified service consumption scenarios — the only representative from East China's Zhejiang province.

The complex was transformed from a historic fishing reel factory and opened to the public on Dec 15, 2023. Preserving its industrial roots and embracing Ningbo's maritime culture, it blends performing arts with commercial and tourism functions.

The complex redefines traditional theater by turning every corner into a stage and offering immersive performances throughout the venue.

Situated on the riverside, the project reimagines industrial space for modern cultural use, highlighting Zhejiang's push to merge culture and commerce through immersive consumer experiences.

The province continues to expand service consumption across accommodation, dining, culture, tourism, sports, and healthcare. Authorities said they plan to further upgrade consumer infrastructure and experience-based offerings to meet growing demand for high-quality and tailor-made services.
