The second West Lake Lotus Exhibition opened at Qianwang Temple in Hangzhou on June 24, marking the sixth West Lake Day and the 14th anniversary of West Lake's recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The exhibition, featuring the theme "Lotus Through Time, Light by Day and Night", runs through mid-October.
Visitors can explore an immersive classical garden with over 5,000 lotus and aquatic plants, more than 160 floral varieties, and whimsical displays like Moonlit Lotus Pond and Frogs at Play. Highlights include rare lotus and water lily species — such as the iconic West Lake red lotus and exotic varieties like blue lotus lantern.
With four main zones including Qianwang Temple, Quyuan Garden, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, and Yongjin Park, the exhibition offers an enchanting journey into West Lake's timeless lotus culture — blending nature, art, and heritage.
