The transit-oriented development (TOD) hub at Shaoxing North (Shaoxingbei) Railway Station began operations on June 30.

That same morning, the new branch of Shaoxing Metro Line 1 also opened, adding Exhibition and Convention Center Station and Shaoxing North Station to the network. The new line enhances access between the railway station and the city center for both residents and visitors.

Passengers continue to enter the station via the south side and exit through the second-floor west bridge via the comprehensive transfer hall.

Metro schedules are now aligned with high-speed rail departures. The first metro to Exhibition and Convention Center Station departs at 6:08 am (last at 10:38 pm), and to Huangjiu Town Station at 6:03 am (last at 10:48 pm), ensuring passengers can transfer from the final trains of the day.

Designed to handle major transit and passenger flow needs, the hub also supports efficient multimodal transfers. The surrounding area is being developed into a modern urban gateway with offices, R&D facilities, digital industries, hotels, convention venues, and retail space.
