'ZheBA' Quzhou division tips off with excitement

The Quzhou division of the 2025 Zhejiang Provincial City Basketball League — also known as "ZheBA" — began its matches on July 12, featuring three exciting showdowns across different venues in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
In a series of hard-fought tussles, the team from Kaihua county defeated Qujiang district 79-64, while Kecheng district triumphed over Longyou county 93-72. The team from Jiangshan county-level city achieved victory against Changshan county with a score of 115-66, marking a significant milestone by topping 100 points in a single game.
Inside the arenas, players gave their all, displaying honed skills and providing the audience with thrilling matches. Spectators in Quzhou were also treated to a cultural experience alongside the games.
At the Kecheng home game, fans were entertained with a captivating performance that blended martial arts and elegance. During the halftime break, a giant Longyou steamed sponge cake was brought onto the court, offering a taste of local culinary delights.
The excitement extended beyond the court, as various markets featuring traditional foods and cultural heritage helped transform the event into a festive carnival.
The Quzhou division's preliminary rounds will run until July 26, across sports venues in its six counties including county-level cities and districts. The champion team of the Quzhou division will then join a city-level joint team to represent Quzhou in the City Championship of the "ZheBA".
