The 2025 "Tianxia Jiangnan" National Martial Arts Invitational and the Jinhua Martial Arts Convention began in Lanxi — a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province — on July 26.

Approximately 800 participants from across China gathered at the Lanxi Sports Center to compete and display both the deep heritage and contemporary vibrancy of Chinese martial arts.

The event featured two main categories: traditional martial arts competitions, encompassing eight disciplines including boxing and weapon routines, and the Wushu free combat matches, offering spectators a dynamic blend of strength and artistry.

Lanxi has a long-standing connection to martial arts. Its signature style, Lanxi Nanquan, with a history of over 600 years, highlights a comprehensive system of boxing and weapon techniques. It was recognized as an intangible cultural heritage item of Jinhua in 2015.

In addition to promoting local martial arts culture on a national level, the event also integrated martial arts with tourism, enhancing the integrated development of sports, culture, and tourism in Lanxi.
