These products combine traditional celadon artistry with contemporary mystery box trends, allowing consumers to experience intangible cultural heritage in an interactive and modern form.
Producing these miniature celadon items involves highly precise techniques. The development team conducted extensive tests to fine-tune the glaze and kiln temperature. Even minor changes can affect the final product. After persistent efforts, the team achieved the signature jade-like glaze.
Due to uneven heating in the kiln, only about 30 percent of pieces remain intact after firing.
The team also recreated detailed patterns from original artifacts.
The products are currently sold at the Longquan Celadon Museum gift store. Each mystery box set includes four special stamps issued in 1998 by China Post featuring Longquan ceramics. Single-box buyers have a chance to receive a stamp at random.
The development team made extensive efforts to source these stamps, searching postal warehouses across the country before finally locating the remaining stock from over two decades ago.

A representative from Longquan Cultural Tourism Investment and Development said that these mystery boxes make traditional crafts more accessible to younger consumers. The company will continue exploring new ways to integrate cultural heritage into modern tourism experiences.
