The 2025 ISSF World Cup in Ningbo, Zhejiang province was a top-level competition that was appreciated by visiting teams for its organization, facilities, and hospitality. Among them, the British delegation was particularly impressed by the city and the event's volunteers.
British coach Sonal Gyorik-Ramendra expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and professional support her team received during their short stay. Despite having only one athlete, James Miller, who finished 30th in the men's 10-meter air pistol preliminaries, she said the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism displayed by every staff member and volunteer. She noted that the volunteers' language skills, guidance with daily tasks, and cheerful support helped the team feel at home.
Miller also appreciated the efficient athlete shuttle service and the guidance he received on local apps like Alipay, describing the shooting hall as clean and well-equipped.
Ramendra said the experience left a lasting impression, and she hopes to visit Ningbo in the future to explore the city further, reflecting positively on both the competition and the host city.
