Jinhua in Zhejiang province welcomed a surge in tourism during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Oct 1 to 8, with its scenic spots and tourist resorts attracting a total of 6.74 million visits.

A total of 1,728 cultural and tourism events, including performances, exhibitions, and intangible cultural heritage experiences, were held, with over 3.4 million participants.

One hotspot was the newly opened floating bridge connecting the Wuzhou Ancient Town scenic area and the Sanjiangli commercial zone, which received over 200,000 visits.

The Sanjiangli commercial zone opened on Oct 1. As Jinhua's first open-style commercial street, it featured popular brands, artisanal markets, and delicious specialties during the holiday, drawing large crowds. Wuzhou Ancient Town also thrived, offering immersive cultural experiences such as historical wedding ceremonies and role-playing games.

Other areas in Jinhua were bustling. Yiwu county-level city attracted visitors who traveled while shopping, Hengdian World Studios in Dongyang county-level city created immersive scenes for tourists to interact with characters, and Youbu Ancient Town in Lanxi county-level city treated visitors to the time-honored Youbu Morning Tea.

The city's intangible cultural heritage also took center stage, with the first "Bull King" competition held in Hanzao village, Wucheng district, showcasing Jinhua bullfighting — a traditional folk culture with a thousand-year history — to tens of thousands of spectators.
