Zhejiang province handled more than 7.53 million cross-border passenger trips in 2025, up 14 percent year-on-year, with inbound overnight visitors rising 24.9 percent, according to the latest official data.
To improve convenience and the overall travel experience for overseas visitors, the province has introduced a series of measures aimed at streamlining services.
At the international service center at Hangzhou International Airport, services that once required foreign travelers to visit multiple counters, including currency exchange, mobile communications, accommodation registration, and tourism consultation, have been consolidated into a one-stop facility.
Since July 3, 2025, the model has been extended to major hubs such as Ningbo Lishe International Airport and Wenzhou Longwan International Airport, serving nearly 200,000 foreign visitor entries from 192 countries and regions.
Zhejiang has also simplified accommodation registration for foreign guests, reducing the amount of required registration information from 10 items to five and promoting province-wide adoption by hotels. Travelers can now check in by scanning their passports, with the entire process taking less than 2 minutes.
In 2025, Zhejiang handled 3.23 million foreign visitor entries involving temporary stays, while the number of foreign tourist groups served surged 584.51 percent year-on-year, underscoring the province's growing appeal as an international destination.
