A French-flagged vessel operated by CMA CGM Group and a South Korean-flagged vessel operated by HMM docked at the Yongzhou Container Terminal in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on Jan 25, marking the launch of two new Middle Eastern routes, both operating on a weekly basis.
After loading 3,668 twenty-foot equivalent units onto the French-flagged vessel and 1,802 TEUs onto the South Korean-flagged vessel, the ships set sail for the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The cargo, mainly produced in the Yangtze River Delta region, includes agricultural machinery, auto parts, home appliances, building materials, and children's products.
Eleven additional Middle Eastern routes will begin calling at the Yongzhou Container Terminal.
To ensure smooth operations, Zhoushan Customs coordinated with shipping companies, terminal operators, and agents in advance, offering services like pre-declaration and scheduled customs clearance.
