China's Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center launched eight satellites using the Smart Dragon 3 carrier rocket from the waters near Haiyang, Shandong province on Sept 24.

Two of the satellites were developed at the ADA Space Jiaxing Satellite Pilot Base, and the smooth launch marked a significant milestone for Jiaxing's commercial satellite industry.

Guo Tao, chief technology officer at ADA Space, explained that these AI satellites, weighing about 70 kilograms each, are equipped with high-speed communication and remote sensing imaging capabilities.

Founded in May 2018, ADA Space is a leader in AI satellite internet technology, focusing on artificial intelligence and satellite internet. The company has made significant advancements in laser communication, computing power, and high-speed interconnection, enabling mutual empowerment between satellites and AI.

The successful launch signifies a major step forward for the Jiaxing Pilot Base in meeting demand for commercial satellites. It also lays a solid foundation for the future development of Jiaxing's aerospace information industry. The base is able to handle all processes, including satellite tuning, assembly, business testing, environmental testing,  thermal vacuum, dynamic vibration, mass characteristics testing, and battery compatibility testing.

In the future, ADA Space aims to integrate its core technologies with Jiaxing's local advantages, attracting and cultivating aerospace professionals and promoting international cooperation and development.
