Students from Pakistan, Thailand, Russia, Morocco, El Salvador, and Malaysia visited the China Nuclear Power Museum and Fengshan village in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, on Oct 30, to deepen their understanding of local culture.

"I found China peaceful and welcoming on my first visit," shared Xi Jin from Pakistan.

At the museum, they explored China's nuclear power development through interactive exhibits. Xi was happy to learn that Pakistan's nuclear power origins are linked to Qinshan Nuclear Power Station in Haiyan and indicate the bond between the two countries.

Thai student Li Huiying found the isotope industry fascinating when learning about its medical applications.

The group then visited the Rolling Lamp Museum in Fengshan village, where they learned about and created their own traditional rolling lamps with cultural inheritors. Moroccan student Jenny joyfully crafted her lamp, which she plans to keep as a memento.

The Village Classroom for International Students project, initiated by Zhejiang Gongshang University in collaboration with Haiyan county, aims to bridge cultural gaps and share Haiyan's story globally. The students posted their experiences on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, building Haiyan's international reputation.
