Shaoxing's electronic information industry has a solid foundation and scale, which covers electronic information, mechanical and electric products, integrated circuits, electronic components and electronic industrial equipment. In the field of integrated circuits, the city has a relatively complete industrial chain covering design, manufacturing and packaging. The integrated circuit design capability of Shaoxing Silicore Technology ranks top in China.

In 2018, there were 167 enterprises above the designated scale – an annual sales revenue surpassing 20 million yuan ($2.85 million) – in the city's electronic information industry with total output value of 36.06 billion yuan, accounting for 5.3 percent of the city's industries above designated scale.
