The third World Textile Merchandising Conference is underway in Keqiao district, Shaoxing. Two of its main events are an expo and a fashion week, local media reported on Oct 28.

The 22nd Keqiao Textile Expo kicked off on Oct 27 and will run until 29. Over 500 exhibitors have brought around 400,000 products to the event and will showcase them at standard booths and through livestreaming activities.

The expo features 1,270 booths in an area of 34,000 square meters. Organizers recorded over 2,000 visitors on the first day, up 0.3 percent year on year. The number of online buyers was 25,563, including 5,113 overseas.

The 8th Keqiao Fashion Week began on Oct 26 and will run for four days at the Milan-Keqiao Pavilion, a joint venture between Shaoxing's Keqiao district and Milan, Italy.

The fashion week marks the venue's grand opening and will feature a salon themed on the digital economy and cross-border trade between China and Italy.
