A group of around 20 foreign talents and young entrepreneurs visited Jidong town, Keqiao district, Shaoxing on Oct 24.

They toured famous sites such as the Feixiang Book House and the Shicang Mountain Homestay and marveled at the wonder of Keqiao, a district known for its strong textile industry.

"I made some new friends and saw the most beautiful autumn scenery Keqiao has to offer. I will write about this experience in my book," said Natasha Natalia, a Ukrainian expert at Zhejiang Yikela New Material Co.

"We decided to come to Jidong town because it has changed significantly over the past five years. It offers a combination of countryside charm and modern life," said a spokesperson for the Keqiao district government.

Among Chinese people, Keqiao is known as the home of bridges, rice wine, calligraphy, traditional opera, and literary icons. But for foreigners, it is more associated with the textile industry.

The China Textile City was first built in the 1980s and has expanded significantly over the years. It is now the world's largest distribution center for textiles, accounting for one-fourth of global transactions in textile materials and fabrics.
