The G7328 high-speed bullet train connecting Zhuji and Hangzhou resumed operation starting from May 10, according to the Zhuji transportation bureau.

The train departs from Zhuji Railway Station at 7:02 am and arrives at Hangzhou East Railway Station at 7:26 am. It has a capacity to handle 556 passengers every morning.

The G7328 train, which is also named Xishi, one of the legendary four beauties of ancient China, was launched by the Zhuji government in September 2016 to provide convenient transportation for people living in one city but working in the other.

The train was suspended on April 10 as six Fuxing bullet trains were launched between Zhuji and Shanghai, with all of them having stops in Hangzhou.

However, the six trains were also favored by people in nearby cities and many Zhuji residents found it difficult to buy a ticket in rush hours.

"The city government discussed the situation with the Shanghai Railway Administration. After rounds of communication, the Xishi bullet train was finally approved to be resumed on May 10," said Peng Jiachun, chief engineer at the Zhuji transportation bureau.

"The launching of the seven trains connecting Zhuji and Hangzhou is a big step in Zhuji's integration into the Yangtze River Delta area. Our city is also closer to having a modern transportation system," Peng added.
