Shaoxing GDP up 8.7% in 2021

The GDP of Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang province reached 679.5 billion yuan ($106.89 billion) in 2021, up 8.7 percent year-on-year, the municipal statistics bureau announced on Jan 26.
The added values of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries grew by 2.5 percent, 10.7 percent, and 7.4 percent year-on-year respectively.
Imports and exports were valued at 299.3 billion yuan, up 16.1 percent year-on-year.
The city approved 216 foreign-invested projects and received $759.29 million in investments in 2021.
The city registered 30,600 enterprises and 69,900 self-employed entrepreneurs. By the end of December, the city was home to 680,700 market entities, up 3.9 percent year-on-year.
Shaoxing's per capita disposable income for the year was 62,509 yuan, up 10.4 percent year-on-year.
The total retail sales of social consumer goods climbed by 6.7 percent year-on-year to 244.7 billion yuan.
