Ferris wheel manufacturer getting more orders despite epidemic

Zhejiang Juma Amusement Equipment Company saw its number of new orders growing by 50 percent year-on-year despite the epidemic, local media reported on July 13.
Juma is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development, installation, as well as sales of large-scale amusement facilities.
The company's headquarters is located in Shaoxing's county-level city Zhuji, which is a 45 minute drive from Xiaoshan International Airport. The company has more than 600 employees, including 70 engineers.
Since 1990, the company has designed and built over 100 Ferris wheels in China, South Korea, and Brazil, of which 17 have heights over 100 meters.
In 2018, the company developed the world's biggest shaftless Ferris wheel in Weifang, Shandong province. The 145-meter tall Ferris wheel has been dubbed "the eye of Bohai Sea."
The company has set up a research institute in Shanghai, which is mainly engaged in the R&D and overseas sales of amusement facilities. A subsidiary company in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province is mainly engaged in the design and production of cabins.
