The Industrial Brain for Electric Machines 3.0, an online platform for the electric machine industry, was launched by the Shangyu economy and information bureau at the 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit on Nov 11.
The platform will promote digital transformation and facilitate the sharing of resources between small and medium-sized enterprises in China's electric machine industry.
The 3.0 version is able to constantly monitor the energy consumption of electric machines and help minimize energy usage, said Hu Guanyan, head of the Shangyu economy and information bureau.
He added that it is important to lower energy consumption by upgrading electric machines. Statistics reveal that nearly 26 billion kilowatt hours will be saved a year in China if the efficiency of the nation's electric machines increases by one percent.
The platform has already been used by nearly 3,000 companies in 29 provinces in China.
According to the Shangyu economy and information bureau, the Industrial Brain for Electric Machines is expected to generate 150 million yuan ($21 million) in revenue this year.
