The construction of the road linking the Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou Highway with the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Highway recently reach a new milestone when one end of the Yangjiashan Tunnel, a key part of the road, was successfully bored.

The road spans 22.03 kilometers, with 19.07 km located within Keqiao district in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province. The tunnel has a height of 5 meters, a width of 18.5 meters, and a maximum depth of 61 meters.

Transportation investment in Keqiao district amounted to 6.22 billion yuan ($888 million) in the first 10 months of this year, the highest among all administrative areas under Shaoxing's jurisdiction.
