An app launched by Shaoxing's Yuecheng district has helped local foreign trade companies secure orders which used to be obtained by attending exhibitions overseas before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Users of the app, the first of its kind in East China's Zhejiang province, can apply for a unique QR code after uploading their information, and then send product samples printed with the QR code to the exhibitions' host venues. Anyone interested can establish links with them via the QR code.

Since its launch in May, the platform has gathered 675 users, 343 of whom have attended foreign exhibitions through the app, resulting in the signing of more than $100 million in deals.
