Zhuji launches fitness campaign to welcome Asian Games

In light of the upcoming 19th Asian Games, Zhuji, a county-level city in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, launched a fitness campaign on April 26 to promote healthy living among residents.
The campaign kicked off with three major activities: a mini-marathon for children, a health walk for more than 200 residents and a race in which 150 farmers carried bamboo shoots over a certain distance.

Over the years, Zhuji has made significant efforts in promoting fitness and sports among its residents. Among the measures taken is the building of over 1,300 fitness paths.
Zhuji presently has a per capita sports area of 3.02 square meters, 27 government-led sports associations, 341 social sports organizations, and 3,166 "fitness coaches" who were appointed by governments to help residents with their fitness endeavors.
