The Zhejiang Golden Bulls defeated the Shenzhen Leopards with a score of 91-90 in the fifth game of the Chinese Basketball Association semifinals on May 4.
With this win, the Zhejiang team has advanced to the CBA finals for the first time in history.
The match was a dead heat until the final quarter, when the Leopards committed four fouls in just two minutes.
The Golden Bulls seized the opportunity and went on an 8-0 run, overturning the score and clinching the game with a narrow one-point lead.
The triumph was met with a roar of approval from their passionate fans. "We are a united force! Zhejiang is outstanding!" exclaimed a fan surnamed Yu who traveled from Ningbo to cheer for the team.
The team will face the winner of the semifinals – either the Liaoning Flying Leopards or the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions – in the finals.
Shaoxing is currently home to two CBA teams: Golden Bulls and Guangsha Lions. Golden Bulls play their home games in Keqiao district and the Lions in Zhuji county-level city.
