Shengzhou fostering advanced manufacturing industry
Shengzhou, a county-level city in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, has witnessed the emergence of seven distinctive industry clusters, including new energy vehicles, new materials, life sciences, and high-end equipment.
In 2022, Shengzhou's industrial added value surged by 10.7 percent, with 52 projects exceeding 100 million yuan ($13.92 million) signed throughout the year. The total investment for newly signed projects reached 26.24 billion yuan.
In 2020, Shengzhou's leading integrated kitchen appliance enterprise, Entive, collaborated with Alibaba's Tmall to explore household kitchen scenarios, releasing the industry's first cloud-based smart integrated kitchen.
Currently, Shengzhou boasts nearly 500 kitchenware enterprises, and produces over 65 percent of the nation's integrated stoves.
In 2022, over 420 enterprises in Shengzhou completed digital transformation, with 32 companies receiving honors as intelligent manufacturing demonstration workshops or above in Shaoxing. The already established digital workshops and smart factories improved production efficiency by over 60 percent.
Shengzhou has prioritized talent development, emphasizing recruitment, training, utilization, and retention of talents while continuously enhancing its business environment to create a livable and business-friendly city.
Shengzhou is today home to one national-level technology business incubator, 259 high-tech enterprises, and a manufacturing talent pool of 225,000 people.
