Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang province is now fully engaged in the Asian Games, local media reported on Sept 20.

On Sept 16, athletes participating in the men's volleyball competition at the Hangzhou Asian Games began their pre-competition training at the China Textile City Sports Center Gymnasium in Shaoxing.

At 2:20 pm on the same day, a bus carrying 18 athletes from the Qatar team arrived at the venue, marking the arrival of the first men's volleyball team in Keqiao district.

On Sept 19, the first match of the volleyball competition at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games took place at the China Textile City Sports Center Gymnasium.

In a thrilling encounter, Kazakhstan's team secured a victory against Kyrgyzstan with a score of 3-2, despite falling behind in the opening set. This victory not only marked a significant win for Kazakhstan but also signified the official commencement of the Asian Games season in Shaoxing.
