Xinchang holds conference on Tang Dynasty Poetry Road
A conference aimed at summarizing the achievements of the development and construction of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) Poetry Road in the eastern part of Zhejiang was held in Xinchang county, Shaoxing, on Nov 28.
The concept of the "Tang Dynasty Poetry Road" was proposed by scholar Zhu Yuebing in Xinchang in 1988. After several verifications, in 1993, the China Society of Tang Dynasty Literature officially adopted the name.
During this conference, significant achievements related to the theoretical research on poetry road were officially unveiled. Simultaneously, Xinchang, as the initiator, joined hands with cities along the road to release a joint initiative.
In addition, a considerable number of cultural and business tourism investment projects were consolidated through collective signings on the same day, projects expected to significantly propel the high-quality development of local cultural and tourism industries in Xinchang.
The poetry road spans a total length of 190 kilometers, with the main line passing through Shaoxing and Taizhou, and branches extending to Ningbo, Zhoushan, Jinhua, and Wenzhou.
