The 2023 China (Zhuji) International Barter Trade Expo kicked off in Zhuji, Zhejiang province on Nov 30.
Themed "New Trade, New Opportunities, New Economy, New Industries," this edition of the trade expo spans an exhibition area of approximately 30,000 square meters, featuring six main themes and nine specialized zones.
About 1,500 international standard booths were set up, attracting the participation of 1,600 units specializing in barter demands, barter support, and related services.
Visitors at the expo had the chance to explore a diverse array of over a hundred distinctive products from more than 60 countries and regions.
The showcased products encompassed various industries, including fashion and textiles, food and beverages, agricultural and sideline products, handicrafts, cosmetics, education and training, hotel and catering, engineering machinery, health, cultural tourism, the internet, finance, and new energy.
The opening ceremony witnessed the unveiling of the inaugural barter trade group standard, "Basic Requirements for Barter Trade Business Processes and Management."
This standard outlines the fundamental requirements for the operation and management of barter trade, aiming to elevate the quality of barter trade services and actively contribute to the healthy development of barter trade.
As globalization continues to deepen, trade methods are undergoing constant innovation. Barter trade, as an ancient form of trade, is emerging as a new trend in contemporary commerce, said local authorities in Zhuji.
