The 2023 Hydrogen and Energy Storage Science and Technology Conference was recently held in Shaoxing, with more than 300 important guests, industry representatives, and experts from the hydrogen and energy storage fields attending from both domestic and international sectors.
During the conference, the hydrogen-lithium hybrid aircraft developed by the team from the Shaoxing Research Institute of Shanghai University made a stunning appearance.
This new intelligent aircraft is capable of vertical takeoff and landing anytime and anywhere. With a wingspan of 3.5 meters and a maximum takeoff weight of 30 kilograms, it is designed to cruise at a speed of up to 120 kilometers per hour.
It has a maximum endurance of 5 hours and can fly up to 500 kilometers in a single flight, making it better suited for long-duration inspections in scenarios such as high-speed, power, forest fire prevention, key water areas, and border reconnaissance.
The Shaoxing Research Institute of Shanghai University was officially inaugurated in March 2020. It currently has more than 80 core research personnel led by academicians.
"The application scenarios for hydrogen-lithium hybrid technology are extensive and can be widely used in various fields, including military and civilian," said an official with the Shaoxing Research Institute of Shanghai University.
