The new facility for Shaoxing Maternal and Child Health Hospital was inaugurated on Jan 10, accompanied by the establishment of the Huang Hefeng Reproductive Health Innovation Research Center.

The new hospital spans an area of about 200,000 square meters and includes 1000 beds for inpatients. Outfitted with cutting-edge facilities including a 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging system, 64-slice spiral CT, digital subtraction angiography system, focused ultrasound tumor treatment system, and fetal endoscopy, the hospital is committed to delivering advanced medical services.

Huang Hefeng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, brings over thirty years of clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynecology. Internationally recognized in reproductive medicine, Huang has pioneered research in embryonic origin diseases, specializing in reproductive genetics, birth defects, infertility, and complex gynecological endocrine disorders.

In recent years, assisted reproductive births have constituted approximately 3 percent of the total number of births in China. With the establishment of the Huang Hefeng Reproductive Health Innovation Research Center, the focus extends beyond clinical services to addressing paramount issues at the forefront of medical science, thereby contributing to the sustained advancement of the industry.
