The branch line of Shaoxing Metro Line 1, running from Shaoxing Rice Wine Town to Daqing Temple, officially commenced operation on April 1.
Currently, the stations along this route, including Shaoxing Rice Wine Town, Shaoxing No 1 Middle School, Huxi, and Daqing Temple, are now accessible to passengers.
Previously, the main line of Shaoxing Metro Line 1 had been operational, serving as a new mode of transportation for commuting between Hangzhou and Shaoxing.
The opening of the metro has accelerated the popularity of tourist attractions within the ancient city of Shaoxing.
From 2020 to 2022, Shaoxing Rice Wine Town welcomed over 200,000 visitors annually.
However, since the opening of the metro station in 2023, the number of visitors has surged to nearly one million, significantly driving the development of the local cultural and tourism industry.
