The police officers in Xinchang county, Shaoxing, celebrated Lantern Festival on Feb 12, inviting foreign professionals in Xinchang to join Chengguan Middle School students in a cultural exchange.

The activity buzzed with festive excitement as Liang Xiaoli shared the rich traditions of the Lantern Festival, guiding the foreign guests in the intricate art of lantern-making. Despite their initial unfamiliarity, the guests embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, quickly picking up techniques under the patient and lively tutelage of the students.

As they crafted lanterns, the students eagerly shared stories about their school and hometown in English, weaving in the cultural background of Lantern Festival. This exchange not only illuminated the room with handmade lanterns but also kindled new friendships and understanding across cultures.
