From March 11 to 13, 117 enterprises from Shaoxing's Yuecheng district participated in the China International Fashion Fair and the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics held in Shanghai.

Organized by the Yuecheng district international chamber of commerce, the delegation secured intended orders worth $12 million on the opening day.

Zhejiang New Idea Garment Group, a leading garment exporter, unveiled a new collection combining urban commuter wear and outdoor sports elements. The line, featuring moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and UV-resistant fabrics, attracted significant attention from domestic and international buyers.

"This exhibition has given us new momentum in both domestic and overseas markets," said Ms. Han, assistant to the general manager. It is the company's fifth year at the event. In 2023, New Idea doubled its domestic sales and posted a nearly 40 percent rise in exports.

Fabric and accessory producers also introduced new collections aligned with market trends. Shaoxing Jiewei Textile, for example, showcased designs developed over two years, drawing interest from foreign buyers. Other firms displayed in-demand textiles such as crocheted and warp-knitted fabrics, attracting clients from Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, and beyond.

To enhance branding and visibility, Yuecheng set up a special exhibition zone themed "Yue Fashion, Yue Global", featuring 29 apparel companies and 46 fabric firms across a combined space of 999 square meters.

The district's council for the promotion of international trade was also awarded the CHIC 2025 (Spring) Industry Promotion Prize — an honor given to only 17 regions nationwide — for its efforts in driving international market expansion.
