The Fengqiao Sanxian Museum opened its doors in Fengqiao town, Zhuji county-level city of Shaoxing, on April 30, bringing together scholars and guests to celebrate the new cultural hub.
The museum is dedicated to honor three influential figures — Wang Mian, Yang Weizhen, and Chen Hongshou — who shaped Chinese calligraphy and painting during the late Yuan (1271-1368) and early Ming (1368-1644) dynasties.
The museum's mission, "to inherit historical culture and revitalize cultural resources", is reflected in its collection of invaluable artifacts, including poems, manuscripts, and artworks from the three masters. Advanced technologies like digital projections and immersive displays are utilized to showcase their artistic legacy and moral character.
A local official highlighted the museum's role in both safeguarding and creatively transforming traditional culture, while also contributing to the vitalization of Fengqiao.
Furthermore, the museum launched a painting and sketching training center, with the China Academy of Art naming the museum its Aesthetic Education Practice Base, fostering collaboration in art education and talent development.
