Shaoxing cross-border e-commerce sellers top 7,000
Shaoxing's cross-border e-commerce sector is emerging as a new growth engine for foreign trade, with transactions on major platforms reaching 12.01 billion yuan ($1.67 billion) in the first half of 2025, up 14.6 percent year-on-year, according to the Shaoxing Municipal Commerce Bureau on Aug 15.
Sellers on major platforms, including Amazon, Shopee, and Alibaba, have now exceeded 7,000, with 261 new sellers added in the first six months.
Building on strengths in textiles, pearls, and hosiery, Shaoxing has advanced the national cross-border e-commerce pilot zone and promoted the integration of e-commerce with traditional industries. Projects such as the B2B base of China Textile City and Weich Home Textile's Southeast Asia operations center are opening new channels to global markets.
International platforms such as Wildberries, TikTok, and Amazon have also established services in Shaoxing, supporting local firms to expand overseas.
In addition, Shaoxing is using platforms including the Shaoxing E-Commerce Public Service Center and the Shaoxing E-Commerce Promotion Association to host matchmaking events, training programs, and study tours. These initiatives have helped more than 600 enterprises expand into both domestic and international markets.
