Shaoxing Marathon 2025 is scheduled for Nov 23, with registration opening on Aug 28 at 10 am.

This year's event will see upgrades in scale, course design, and cultural experience. For the first time, the race is expected to attract more than 30,000 participants, with a more balanced distribution across the marathon, half-marathon, and fun run categories.

Course adjustments will ease congestion around Didang Lake and highlight Shaoxing's waterways and historic landmarks. Runners will pass sites such as Lu Xun Native Place, Fushan Park, and Shaoxing Rice Wine Town, experiencing the blend of ancient culture and modern vitality.

Cultural highlights remain central to the event. This year features enhanced finisher packs, an expanded food zone at the finish line, and new cultural merchandise. The marathon will also be broadcast live on CCTV-5.

Since its debut in 2017, the Shaoxing Marathon has been recognized as a World Athletics Elite Label Road Race and a Chinese Athletics Association Gold Medal Event. It has become a hallmark event for Shaoxing, advancing the integration of sports, culture, and tourism.
