Shaoxing University launches first international English journal

Shaoxing University launched its first international English-language academic journal, New Contaminants, in Shanghai on Sept 13. The event marks a milestone in the university's efforts to strengthen academic disciplines and global engagement.
The journal focuses on both basic and applied research on new contaminants. It aims to build an innovative and professional platform for scholars and practitioners worldwide to share research findings and promote academic exchange.
Its scope covers identification and analysis, environmental behavior, ecological and health risks, waste management, and related areas.
Hu Yunjin, vice-president of Shaoxing University, said that the university will provide strong support for the journal's development, to contribute to global efforts to protect the ecological environment.
Shaoxing University is a multidisciplinary institution with a history dating back to the founding of Shankuai Primary Normal School in 1909.
In recent years, the university has been advancing discipline development, fostering talent, and building innovative platforms to become a nationally recognized academic institution.
