Envoys on Zhejiang tour visit Shaoxing

Shaoxing Party Secretary Shi Huifang met with members of the "2025 Envoys' Tour to Zhejiang Province" delegation during their visit to the city on Oct 16.
Shi briefed the delegation on Shaoxing's economic and social development, expressing hopes that foreign envoys would continue to support the city's opening-up efforts by building bridges of cooperation and promoting exchanges in trade, industry, and culture.
He said Shaoxing aims to share its traditions and innovation with the world while attracting global talent and investment to fuel local growth.
Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan's ambassador to China and head of the delegation, thanked Shaoxing for its thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality. He said Shaoxing is an exceptional city that harmoniously blends rich history with modern vitality.
Hashmi, visiting Shaoxing for the second time, added that the city has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years and is emerging as an increasingly international hub.
He expressed confidence that Shaoxing will continue to gain new opportunities for high-level cooperation in trade, technology, and culture, adding that the visit would help deepen mutual understanding and strengthen collaboration across various sectors.
The five-day "2025 Envoys' Tour to Zhejiang" began in Hangzhou, with Shaoxing as its second stop. During their stay, the envoys visited China Textile City and Shaoxing Rice Wine Town, where they saw the city's industrial development, urban construction, and cultural preservation.
