The Yangming Mind Philosophy Conference opened on Oct 30 in Yuyao, a county-level city in Ningbo, birthplace of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) philosopher.

This year's event highlighted cross-cultural dialogue and modern applications of Yangming Mind Philosophy. Activities included an international symposium featuring scholars from Japan and China, and a keynote forum by Professor Wang Defeng of Fudan University on Yangming Mind Philosophy and contemporary China.

Yangming Mind Philosophy continues to shape Yuyao's cultural identity, with his philosophy embedded in schools, businesses, and creative industries. At Yangming Primary School, students sing, perform, and study his legacy, and at Yuyao-based private company Sunny Optical Technology (Group) Co, his value of "unity of knowledge and action" guides corporate culture.

Yangming culture is also reaching global audiences, as operas telling Wang Yangming's stories tour Japan, creative cultural products debut in Milan, and short videos share his stories abroad.
