Shaoxing swimmer bags two golds in two hours

Wu Qingfeng from Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, closed out the swimming competition of the 15th National Games on Nov 17 with an exceptional performance, nabbing two gold medals within less than two hours.
Wu, from Zhejiang province team, won a total of three gold medals and three silver medals across the competition. Another Shaoxing athlete, Xie Yichen, also delivered strong results, earning two gold medals and one silver to contribute significantly to Zhejiang's overall swimming performance.
The last event of the program, the women's 4×100 medley relay, began at 8:50 pm and pushed the competition to its peak. Zhejiang fielded a team consisting of Lu Xingchen, Ye Shiwen, Yu Yiting, and Wu Qingfeng, with Wu swimming the anchor freestyle leg. The team secured the gold medal with a time of 3:57.97, concluding the swimming events with a victory.
Just 90 minutes earlier, Wu had already taken gold in the women's 50-meter freestyle. She finished in 24.21 seconds, faster than her time at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, where she won silver in the same event.
Wu also impressed the day before by finishing second in the 50-meter butterfly. She clocked 25.72 seconds, a personal best, in a race that featured several high-profile competitors.
