The 21st China tea economy annual meeting opened in Xinchang on Nov 26, following a press briefing held a day earlier.
The four-day event is one of China's longest-running and among the most influential tea industry gatherings in the country.
This year's meeting focuses on boosting consumption and supporting rural vitalization, with organizers aiming to build a high-level platform for trade matchmaking, information sharing, and practical collaboration.
The program features eight main events, including the opening ceremony, a national forum on tea branding, and an industry exchange meeting.
Dafo Longjing, a signature product of Xinchang, has emerged as a key highlight. The local tea culture association said the brand's value has reached 5.38 billion yuan ($760 million), placing it among the top in the country.
Xinchang county is encouraging work on standardization, digital transformation, and cultural promotion to support Dafo Longjing's expansion from a regional label to a tea brand with national and international reach.
The annual meeting serves not only as an exchange platform but also as a driver of rural growth and consumer vitality.
