The new Longyou Museum in Longyou, a county in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, opened its doors to the public on May 13 to mark International Museum Day, which fell on May 18, local media reported.

Covering an area of 17,677 square meters, Longyou Museum has an exhibition area of 4,600 sq ms and is the first comprehensive museum in Longyou that is free to the public.

The museum houses roughly 5,000 cultural relics and specimens, most of which are chinaware and bronzeware unearthed in the tombs of the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220). Part of the collection was borrowed by Quzhou Municipal Museum and Zhejiang Museum to make up an exhibition.

Visitors need to make a reservation on the official WeChat tourism account for Longyou (gh_5d9e39fbb18c) and they are required to show their green health QR code, have their temperature taken and wear a face mask before entering the museum.

When touring the museum, visitors need to keep a safe distance of more than 1.5 meters from other people.
