A group of 300 visitors from Malaysia has arrived in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province. Their journey, which began in Huangyan district, will conclude on Nov 21.
With China's expanding visa-free policies drawing global attention to "China Travel", Huangyan has become a growing starting point for international visitors exploring the city's coastal scenery and cultural landmarks.
The trip is based in Huangyan, where they dine, sleep, and shop before making short trips to Taizhou's mountains, seaside attractions, and major 5A-level scenic areas. The itinerary also features industry visits to companies such as Jinlang Science & Technology, reflecting Taizhou's reputation in manufacturing. Visitors can move efficiently between Huangyan and surrounding destinations due to the district's central location.
Malaysian visitor Chen Haide said that the district's dishes were memorable and its signature tangerines stood out for their fragrance and sweetness. A representative of a Zhejiang travel agency highlighted Huangyan's advantages as a hub, pointing to its international-standard hotels, complete services, and easy access to local specialty products.
From January to September, Huangyan received 17,101 inbound overnight visitors, ranking first in Taizhou. The "dining, sleeping, and shopping in Huangyan while touring across Taizhou" model is becoming increasingly popular among overseas travelers.
